Dear Business Owner,

We are thrilled to invite you to join the Delaware County Pride's list of queer-friendly businesses and service providers. This initiative aims to highlight and support local businesses that are willing to commit to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ individuals. By becoming a part of this list, you will not only show your support for the LGBTQ+ community but also attract a broader and more diverse customer base and make our community more welcoming for all.

Benefits to Participating in Our Business Directory:

1. DCP will promote the directory online and in our newsletter and emails. You can respond any time to be added to the online directory.

2. An annual print version of the directory will be available at our events and select visiting centers. We are accepting businesses for our 2026 print directory.

3. Business posts will be approved on our Facebook community page every Friday.

Steps to Become a Listed Queer-Friendly Business:

1. Sign the Queer-Friendly Business Pledge

Review and sign our pledge, which outlines specific criteria that will help to ensure your business is welcoming and affirming to all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. This pledge demonstrates your commitment to fostering an inclusive environment. Businesses that take steps like these consistently see many benefits that we hope you too will enjoy; an increase in profits, employee satisfaction and motivation.

2. Make a Donation

Contribute a donation to Delaware County Pride of $25 or more to be in both our online and print directory. This donation will help us cover the cost of printing the directory. Our directory designers are volunteers who are working pro-bono. (Donations to DCP are not tax deductible at this time).

3. Display the Queer-Friendly Sticker

Upon signing the pledge and making your donation, you will receive a "Queer-Friendly Business" sticker. Please display this sticker prominently in your storefront window. This visible symbol of support reassures LGBTQ+ individuals that your business is a safe and welcoming space.

4. Optional: Place an Ad

Your support makes a significant difference in our ability to create positive change and is another way to communicate your support for the local queer community. $125 will get you a ½ page ad in our printed directory, and $250 gets you a full-page ad. This will help us continue our support of the LGBTQ+ community through various programs, events, and initiatives.

How to Complete the Process:

1. Sign the Pledge:

Review and electronically sign the pledge. Alternatively, you can print, sign, and mail the pledge to Billy Hancock, DCP Treasurer, 1050 Huska Rd, DeLancey NY 13752

2. Make the Donation:

Donations can be made online through Venmo to @delawarecountypride. If you prefer, you can also mail a check payable to "Delaware County Pride" to the address provided above.

3. Receive and Display the Sticker:

Once we have received your signed pledge and donation, we will mail you the Queer-Friendly Business sticker. Please display it prominently in your storefront to show your support and commitment to inclusivity.
